Relieve Philanthropy Event Costs
When establishing dues, we have had to take the recent state of the economy into consideration. While we are able to live and grow as a fraternity, our budget limits the capability we have to not only grow as brothers but also to change the community.
The Loyalty Fund finances the costs of our philanthropy events. Things such as food for volunteers, tools, wood, paint, and equipment are not always given to us by local businesses. Without the Loyalty Fund, these costs would come out of the undergrad dues limiting our capabilities to do needed maintenance around the house and host brotherhood events.
Chapter Operations & Growth
A chapter can not function without communication among not only the undergrad brothers currently in it, but also the 1,400 Michigan Gamma alumni, parents, and friends. The Loyalty Fund supports the printed issues of the Gamma Phone, chapter letterhead and envelopes, and recognition gifts to prominent and philanthropic alumni.
Michigan Gamma has alumni that reach back to our founding day in 1929, but our legacy on the Michigan State University campus can not continue without new brothers. The Loyalty Fund has relieved some of the expenditure of rush by covering a percentage of the cost every semester. Finding brothers better then ourselves to take our place one day may be a costly, but with continued support to the Loyalty Fund it is fully achievable.
Alumni, Parents & Brotherhood events
The Loyalty Fund supports events hosted for alumni and parents such as Homecoming, Founders Day, and Parents day, all these were events that had to originally be downsized or eliminated in years past due to financial constraints. The Loyalty Fund has not only helped bring these events back, but also add new ones.
The idea of a fraternity is for brothers to grow together with shared bonds and ideals. For brothers to grow closer in bonds, brotherhood events are organized which the Loyalty Fund helps continue by relieving the chapter of a percentage of the cost.
